Multi-Plain Project

In this project I used Adobe Photoshop to maake a scene of an area. Instead of using only one plain like before with a motionless background, in this I used multiple layers to make it have more depth. Each layer is longer and has more detail to provide the illusion that it is closer than the other layers. After making all of the layers in Photoshop I then imported the photoshop file into Adobe After Effects where I made all of the layers move, each one faster than the one behind it, providing the illusion of depth while moving that you get in real life.

Character Project

With this Project I started with drawing the character on paper, but all of the parts were separately drawn. Then when that was done I took the drawing and scanned it onto my computer using the scanner. Then I opened the scanned image in photoshop and selected all the parts and put them together on separate layers. After that I imported the image into After Effects. In After Effects I used the translate tool to move the legs so that it would look as if he was walking across the screen. I also used the rotation tool to make the arms flail around as he walked across the screen.

Here is the image after scanning it in:

Here is a screenshot of the keyframes I used to move his legs as he went across the screen:

And here is the final video of him walking across the screen:

Worm Project

In this project I drew the worm in photoshop. I put the worm into After Effects where I used the puppet tool to make the worm look as if it were moving. At the same time I had the worm moving across the screen as it was moving so it looked as if it was moving across the screen.
